Susannah Brown was recently featured in KSBY’s election coverage highlighting the candidates running for California State Assembly District 30 ahead of the June 2 Primary Election. The article, titled “Meet the candidates for CA State Assembly District 30,” provided an overview of the race and shared each candidate’s priorities and background.

During the interview, Susannah spoke about her decision to run for office and the importance of local representation on the Central Coast.

“I am the only candidate that's born and raised here for the Assembly Member District 30 race, and being local and hearing all the conversations in our community and feeling that our voices weren't heard was one of the final straws for me,” Brown said.

As a data scientist and longtime Central Coast resident, Susannah emphasized her commitment to practical, data-driven solutions focused on the needs of local communities. Her campaign priorities include affordable and attainable housing, water stability, reliable energy, and stable school funding throughout the district.

“I'm a data scientist, so as all of the work I do in the community and through nonprofits, I want to make sure that whatever we do is based on data and effective,” Brown said. “The priorities that I've heard in our communities that are not being addressed are affordable and attainable housing, water stability, and reliable energy, as well as stable school funding.”

The KSBY coverage also highlighted Susannah’s strong ties to the Central Coast and her focus on listening to residents across the district. Throughout the campaign, she has continued meeting with community members, nonprofit organizations, and local leaders to better understand the challenges facing families, workers, and businesses throughout the region.

Susannah’s campaign is centered on thoughtful leadership, community engagement, and long-term planning that supports both economic opportunity and quality of life on the Central Coast.

The June 2 Primary Election will determine which candidates advance in the race for California State Assembly District 30.
