With the June 2 primary election approaching, this interview comes at a critical time for voters in California Assembly District 30.

In this conversation, Susannah shared her perspective on the current state of the race, her priorities for the region, and how her approach differs from other candidates.

🗳️ About the Election

There are currently three candidates running for California Assembly District 30. The primary election will take place on June 2, 2026, with ballots being mailed out in early May.

The top two candidates will advance to the general election.

Susannah Brown is the only candidate in the race who was born and raised on the Central Coast, bringing a deeply local perspective to the challenges facing the region.

🌊 A Local Perspective on Change

Susannah emphasized that this is a pivotal moment for the Central Coast. Her campaign is centered on delivering real solutions that directly impact the people living and working in the community.

🔑 Key Priorities Discussed

During the interview, Susannah highlighted several key priorities:

  • Housing that actually gets built for all phases of life

  • Stable and reliable water supply

  • Energy reliability and long-term planning

  • Consistent and predictable school funding

  • Improving overall affordability across the region

She reinforced that policies should not just exist on paper - they should translate into real, visible outcomes for families.

Community Engagement & Leadership

Susannah also spoke about the importance of being actively involved in the community and staying connected to the people she aims to represent.

She noted that, to date, there has not been a candidate forum where all three candidates have appeared together, highlighting the importance of transparency and open discussion during the election process.

Her approach focuses on accessibility, direct conversations, and showing up consistently across the district.
