The televised report focused on housing affordability, education funding, environmental protection, and long-term leadership priorities throughout Assembly District 30.

During the discussion on housing, Susannah emphasized the importance of streamlining existing housing processes while still protecting environmental review standards. She also discussed the need for faster timelines on housing projects so developers and investors are not left waiting years for approvals while communities continue facing housing shortages.

When discussing education, Susannah highlighted the importance of supporting both the academic and emotional well-being of students throughout the district.

“It's not always academic. Sometimes it's the emotional needs of our students. They've gone through so much over the last few years, and if we're cutting mental health people in our schools, there could be even more dire needs for them right now that we're not even addressing,” Brown said.

Environmental protection and proactive leadership were also major topics during the interview, particularly following concerns surrounding the Moss Landing battery plant fire. Susannah stressed the importance of stronger oversight and long-term environmental responsibility.

“The environmental impact of this should have been explained way before we got to this point, and it should have been more regulated, and especially because it's right there on the water, and it could affect everybody in the community and beyond,” Brown said.

She added, “Again, it's proactive leadership. If you know you have a battery plant in your backyard in our region, it needs to be a top priority all the time.”

Throughout the campaign, Susannah has continued focusing on practical, community-centered solutions related to housing affordability, education support, environmental protection, water reliability, and long-term planning across the Central Coast.

The KSBW coverage highlighted the ongoing conversations taking place throughout Assembly District 30 as candidates discuss priorities impacting families, students, workers, businesses, and local communities ahead of the election.
