I recently announced my candidacy for California Assembly District 30, joining the 2026 race to represent communities across the Central Coast. This is an important moment for our region, and I’m looking forward to engaging with voters across San Luis Obispo County and beyond as we head toward the June 2 primary election.

Below is a brief overview of my background, why I’m running, and the key priorities shaping my campaign. For a full feature on my candidacy and personal story, you can read the original article.
My Background
I am a San Luis Obispo County resident, mother, and data strategy consultant with a background rooted in community engagement and real-world problem solving. Over time, I’ve become increasingly involved in conversations around housing, education, and economic challenges facing families across the Central Coast.
My personal experiences have also shaped how I approach this work. I grew up facing housing instability and financial hardship, and I understand how critical it is to have access to stable housing, strong schools, and supportive community systems. Those early experiences continue to influence my perspective and my commitment to creating opportunities for others.
Why I’m Running for California Assembly District 30
My decision to run for State Assembly was driven by a growing concern that many policies are discussed at a high level without fully addressing how they will be implemented locally.
Too often, decisions are made in Sacramento that sound good on paper but don’t translate into real results for communities like ours. I believe we need leadership that focuses on execution, accountability, and outcomes - not just ideas.
Key Priorities
My campaign is centered on a focused set of priorities that directly impact families and communities across the Central Coast:
• Housing affordability and long-term stability
• Energy reliability and thoughtful long-term planning, including the role of Diablo Canyon Power Plant
• Strong, stable funding for schools and students
• Infrastructure and water systems that support sustainable growth
These issues are deeply connected. When housing, energy, infrastructure, and education systems are not aligned, it creates real challenges for families and local economies.
Approach to Leadership
I believe in focusing on local implementation over broad statewide frameworks. There are many policies that get introduced each year, but not all of them are grounded in how systems actually function day-to-day. I want to focus on fewer issues with greater depth, ensuring that solutions are realistic, data-informed, and built to deliver results.
The 2026 Election
The California Assembly District 30 race will take place during the June 2, 2026 primary election. This election will help shape the future of our region and determine how we address some of the most pressing challenges facing the Central Coast.
