Mustang News Highlights Assembly District 30 Candidates Ahead of Election Day

Mustang News recently published an overview of the candidates running to represent California Assembly District 30, highlighting the key issues shaping this year's election and introducing voters to the candidates seeking to serve the Central Coast.

The article examines several topics that continue to be important throughout the district, including affordability, housing, education funding, energy, and environmental stewardship.

District 30 includes portions of San Luis Obispo, Monterey, and Santa Cruz Counties.

Among the candidates featured was Susannah Brown, a data scientist, community volunteer, and lifelong Central Coast resident.

Susannah's focus includes affordability, housing, stable school funding, and practical policy solutions that deliver measurable results for local communities.

“I just want to focus on real results that matter to everyday people,” Brown said.

Susannah also emphasized her deep roots in the region and the perspective that comes from growing up on the Central Coast.

“I was actually born in San Luis Obispo, and I’m the only candidate that is born and raised right here on the Central Coast, and I think that makes me have a unique perspective on our community,” Brown said.

The article highlighted Susannah's long history of community involvement, including her service on an elementary school council, her work supporting local small businesses, and her efforts to raise awareness for survivors through Lumina Alliance's Lumina Days.

Mustang News also spoke with Cal Poly students about the issues most important to them, including housing affordability, environmental protection, renewable energy, and effective representation in state government.

Throughout the campaign, Susannah has continued meeting with residents, community organizations, local leaders, educators, and business owners across the district to better understand the challenges facing Central Coast communities and identify practical solutions that improve quality of life for working families.

Today, June 2, is Election Day.
